The Pool
As I’ve said, this is a pool, my pool. Just like any other pool, this one is not perfect. There are times when the water is cold, chilling and numbing. Another time when it is warm, soothing and calming. But it’s not the pool itself that makes it special. It’s not even the water. It is the people who swim on it that will make it exceptional and worthwhile.
The content of this pool is water from my own viewpoint. Not the water itself but how I saw the water and how I dived into the water and swam through it. You can agree with me and look at it the same way or otherwise. Anyway, you have a your own pool.
Remember that whatever your pool is, however deep or shallow, huge or small, it is never insignificant. If your water is troubled or tranquil, warm or frosty, you can always decide to make it a fun swimming experience. Because then again, it is not the water that dictates the experience, but the person immersed in it that determines. Take a dive on life!
Feel free to be a part of my pool. Take a dip.

On Religion
It was mentioned in the film that the problem of our generation is that we have EXCLUDED God in our lives. Thus we have become a generation of tyrants, anti-life, and the like. True enough, I agree with this sentiment. Perhaps the real problem of our society lies in our lack of faith and our short of practice of it. That is why in his pontifical life, he encouraged different religious organizations and sectors to be more ardent in their service of bringing God to the people. He said that it is not the differing religions that is the problem but the lack of it.
So whatever name you have for Him, be it Yahweh or Jehovah, or Allah or Buddah, Christ or whatever, we have the same mission and vocation – that is to bring God back to our society and ergo bring our society back to God.
Carry on! We need all the help we can get!
